The Research On Information Support System Of The Executive Information System

Along with the fast social and technological development, modern enterprises are confronting with diverse of both new opportunities and challenges. Therefore, the business managers have critical responsibilities on keeping the sustainable competitive abilities of their corporations. How to provide business managers with the most convenient and timely information, which is vital for management and decision-making, has become the essential factor for promoting working efficiencies of the managers. The establishment of the Executive Information System (EIS) has solved this issue.Information support is the fundamental function of EIS. The capability of information support system is the decisive factor for the success of EIS establishment.This paper introduced the three core technologies of Business intelligence (BI) in-depth, discussed the advantages and feasibility of BI technology in information support system of EIS, conducted the analysis of On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) together with the enterprise goals for the system, designed and achieved the information support system of EIS, and suggested further improvement plans and development direction for this system. The paper is a novel try for the constant improvement of EIS for enterprises.
