Applied Study Concerning Application Of Business Intelligence Technology On Distribution System In YR Company

As the pace of development of Information technology and network technology have been dramatic. ERP, DRP, CRM and other information systems have been applied to many Chinese enterprises. Information systems in business process generated large amounts of data. However, data exists in the information system is operational data, thus, analysis and processing cannot be directly carried out, which resulting in this phenomenon: on the one hand the information system to produce massive amounts of business data, on the other companies cannot automatically get the decision-useful and timely information from this massive data. The management decision-making also mainly dependent on subjective judgments of experience.In the increasingly fierce market competition process, enterprises are faced with a range of issues such as how to quickly grasp the marketing information, how to control the distribution channel's management and monitoring, how to reduce operating costs and regulatory loopholes, and optimize enterprise's resources and the management and so on. With the continued expansion of enterprise scale, how the business operations or analysis layer provide the right information at the right time to the appropriate decision-making layer, as well as decision-making layer how to obtain timely and accurate information necessary for decision making will be an urgent and complicated task.This article has set the project in YR company's distribution management system as an example to analyze how business intelligence technology solve the problem of the enterprise decision support in the enterprise's information process. The business intelligence technology will extract, clean and transform the information from the distribution management system or other management systems , loading it into the data warehouse, which constitutes a subject-oriented, integrated, time-varying data warehouse. And then transform the existing data of the enterprise into knowledge by use of OLAP(Online Analytical and Processing) and Data Mining technology, which help YR to achieve from perceptual decision-making to rational decision-making changes.This article is also analyze the core technology on the Business Intelligence separately as followed: The establishment of Data Warehouse; On-line analytical and processing and Data Mining .
