Theoretic And Application Study On Software Configuration Management Capability Maturity Model

With the rapid development of technology improvement,complexity and integration degree of the software program are growing higher and higher.More and more products and documents also are produced during the process of software development.The change of software test will become more frequent than hardware and software program.The background organization of this document is such a special one for the third party test.In order to adapt the numerous and complicated changes of the test process,there is a need to regulate the test flow process,and implement program management in whole process of software test,especially software configuration management.Software configuration management is a KPA of the CMM Level 2.The model describes what a corp.should do that has achieved CMM L2 from the point of configuration management technical view.But it's not only a technical activity but also an art of management.CMM and CMMI are both important approaches to enhance the software quality and production efficiency.How to apply CMM/CMMI in each stage of software development process is always a research hotspot.The paper takes the Spaceflight Software third party test organization for example, provides the theoretic and guidance for the software configuration management activities of similar test and evaluation organizations.It also brings forward a software configuration management capability maturity model based on CMM/CMMI,which not only covers the implementation of SCM but also satisfies the CMM standard.
