The main work of this paper is designing an audio embedded system. After studying the S3C2410 processor which based on ARM9 architecture made by Samsung Ltd, the circuit schematic diagram is drawn. The system takes S3C2410 processor as the core, and adding some outer components such as memory, audio coding and decoding chip and so on. Next, the drivers of the audio chip are programmed and transplanted into Linux kernel.Firstly, the paper introduces the embedded system, analyzes the architecture and characteristics of S3C2410 processor carefully, which is the foundation of the outer circuit design. The paper designs the following circuit schematic diagram: power and reset circuit, clock circuit, memory circuit including SDRAM and FLASH, IIS audio circuit, serial interface circuit, JTAG interface circuit, LCD and TSP interface circuit. The whole audio embedded system is an expandable system and it can work independently. We use the system to collect and process audio signal.Secondly, the paper researches the development of embedded drivers, analyzes drivers principle in Linux operating system. The cross compiler environment has been built. Next, the paper programs the drivers of UDA1341TS and transplants it into Linux kernel successfully. Through debugging, the drivers work well on developing board.Finally, a conclusion is given.
