After the research on Samsung S3C6410 micro-controller which is based on ARM11 architectures, this paper mainly achieves the use method of multi-format video encoding and decoding and the design method of driving interruption stream under Windows CE, which provides a good programming method to control images capturing and process the video data under Windows CE operating system. With the core of this S3C6410 micro-controller and external memory and various interface circuits such as USB camera, this article completes the core board's design of embedded video processing terminal hardware PCB diagram, and does a research on Electromagnetic Compatibility in the printed circuit boards of video processing terminal.First of all, this paper introduces embedded systems and video processing briefly and points out the advantages of video processing terminal which uses the design of the S3C6410 micro-controller. Secondly, this paper carefully analyses the use of S3C6410's multi-format video codec, which provides a new thinking to programming software for multi-format video encoding and decoding. This paper also designs the method of driving interruption stream under Windows CE, which provides a more general reference model to design the drivers of interruption stream for the central controller and BIT controller under Windows CE. Thirdly, after having been familiar with the system structure of S3C6410 processor, I design the follow circuit schematic diagrams: power and reset circuit, clock circuit, DDR SDRAM and FLASH memory circuit, USB interface circuit, the serial circuit, JTAG interface circuit, LCD and TSP interface circuits. The whole embedded video processing terminal is a extensible system that can work independently and mainly uses for image capture and video encoding and decoding. In addition, starting from the design method of Electromagnetic Compatibility such as filtering grounding and so on, I give a scheme to improve the electromagnetic compatibility of video processing terminal after the theoretical analysis of these methods. Finally, through several simple applications, video processing terminal can encode video data based on H.264 and transmit the coded data by wireless network card. Test results show that the video processing terminal can achieve many functions, such as picture capturing , picture encoding, video data transmission wirelessly, video monitoring and so on.
