Wireless Sensor network(WSN) , integreted by the convergence of sensor,embedded computation, networks and wireless communication technologies, is a novel technology for acquiring and processing information. It is a late-model wireless networks of infra-structureless network and can be used for testing, sensing, collecting and processing information of monitored objects . WSN is a new research area of computer science and technology and has a wide application future.The number of sensor node in WSN is numerous while single node is extraordinarily limited in resource. The all-important aim of designing routing protocol of WSN is to reduce the overall energy dissipated in the network and to maximize the network lifetime. The dissertation analyzed and compared some routing protocols proposed by oversea researcher.Then a new routing protocol of WSN– IUCSEEP(Indirect and Unequal Clustering Size Energy Efficient Protocol) is designed.IUCSEEP is a routing protocol based on unequal clustering size routing protocol. It partitions network to different clusters. Each cluster is made up of a cluster head(CH) and some common nodes, and they play different roles in the network. After receiving original signals from nodes ,CH fuses then and sends the aggregated data to Sink.In order to distribute the energy load among all the nodes,CH is chosen dynamically and the routes among clusters are optimized in the proposed algorithms.In the meantime,information are communicated by the lowest energy routes.The results which are simulated on the ns2 show that IUCSEEP achieves its designing goal.
