Wireless Sensor Network Routing Protocol Leach-based Data Fusion Algorithm

In the Wireless Sensor Network (Wireless Sensor Network, is short for WSN), th e traditional ways of datas transmission are sending all the datas that come from the each sensor node to the sink nodes. However, considering the sensor nodes that in the WSN distribute widely, such traditional transmission ways will result in a number of datas redundancy, bringing unnecessary energy consumption to the sensor networks. Th erefore, we can introduce the technology of data fusion in the WSN to reduce the red undant datas which can also bring down the energy consumption. Because the energy consumption of the network communication occupy a large proportion of the whole en ergy consumption.So now, a lot of scholars begin to study the introduction of data fu sion technology in the routing protocol of the WSN.Based on the analysis and study of the wireless sensor network and data fusion a lgorithms in the WSN routing protocol, this paper uses the hierarchical routing protoc ol as study model, proposing a new hierarchical datas fusion algorithm and datas fusi on model. The main idea of this hierarchical datas fusion algorithm is dividing the pr ocess of data transmission from sensor nodes to sink nodes into three levels, and then according to the different characteristics of each level obtain datas which takes corresp onding datas fusion algorithms:for the data obtained by the member sensor nodes that within a cluster, it takes the method of acquiring the mean value of several datas whi ch reduces the account of the datas communication from the source; for the datas that the head of a cluster acquired from the member sensor nodes of the cluster, owing to the different reliability and accuracy of the sensor nodes themselves, it uses the data f usion based on fuzzy theory to receive the datas in different ways; The head of the c luster sends datas to the sink node will consume much energy, thus in this level it ad opts the method of threshold estimation. Through the data fusion of the three layers, it will be able to eliminate the redundant data in the network, save the node energy and then extend the life cycle of the WSN. At last, this paper use NS-2 simulation softwa re to analyze, also it demonstrates the advantages of new hierarchical data fusion algo rithm in the wireless sensor networks.
