With the advancement in micro-elector-mechanical-systems(MEMS) technology and wireless communications ,lots of sensor nodes came into being .They compose self-organized networks wireless sensor network under certain protocols .This is called wireless sensor Networks in which data sampling and transferring are carried on and users can obtain beneficial information.In this thesis, the course of wireless sensor networks , some applications , and the tech-difficulty in wireless sensor networks were introduced at first. Next , IEEE802.15.4 and ZigBee protocols were explained, and the character of wireless sensor network based on ZigBee technology, nodes and topology were discussed respectively. Then some of clustering algorithm for wireless sensor network just as LEACH, TEEN, PEGASIS were compared. After that, a simulation tool called NS2 was introduced as well as the method of how to analyze the result.The code of LEACH was studied, which was a part of MITĪ¼AMPS. Many advantages of LEACH than Direct were demonstrated, while the Imbalance of clustering numbers and traffic loads tradeoff in LEACH protocol were pointed out. To solve the disadvantages of the LEACH, some schemes were proposed and verified correctly according to analysis in theory. Finally, Simulations showed that the schemes were reasonable.
