The agile manufacturing system can respond the clients demand agilely, but there is shortage in the existing production planning (PP) system, such as weak pertinency and single model.This thesis mainly focuses on the research and development of the optimal production planning system based on the .NET platform, which meets requirements of different production aims and production conditions. It makes the planning agile and applicable and would be a more scientific and effective way to improve the productive efficiency.Firstly, based on the research into the contents of the production planning, the activities of the production planning to be optimized is analyzed with the help of the characters of the punch workshop and the primary scheme of the system is confirmed.Secondly, the way to optimize the plan, which is the critical technique of the optimal production planning system, is put forward. Considered workshop framework and varied factors relating to production under the environment of agile manufacturing workshops, several elements, which comprise the objectives planning model, are abstracted. Then according to these elements, relevant models are reengineered and solved by Karmarkar algorithm and the interaction/prediction. The application of the genetic algorithm is also discussed for the integrated optimization of production planning and scheduling.Thirdly, based on the analysis of the previous management system of the auto body factory, the targets and principles of the optimal production planning system are put forward. A three-tier structure for distributed optimal production planning system is first designed and then each level of the system is developed. Finally, the development of optimal production planning system for workshops is implemented and the aim to optimize the production planning is achieved. In the process of development, the problem of the mapping between the production models and the database tables is solved and the interface layer of the system is particularly designed with specific analysis of the implementation of reengineering and solving the models.Finally, some comments of the insufficiencies of the work and some aspects that should be studied in the future are given at the end of the thesis.
