Provided that there were not battlefield environment, battle will lose its fundamental foundation. Traditionally speaking, the battlefield means actual space on the earth, while the simulated battlefield means virtual space which is produced by computer,networks,related software and hardware as well. In a word, the virtual land simulation which could describe the 3-D terrain scene of the earth surface is established by virtual technology and based on the digital map.In this paper, the arithmetic study is started from actual need, with the aim to solve distortion phenomenon in the simulation which is derived from the loosely merging of ground feature model and terrain model. Not only from the visualization perspective but also from the exact orientation and analytical inquiry perspective, it is an urgent task to realize the merging of the ground feature and the terrain.From domestic and foreign viewpoint, the virtual simulation technology is used in training simulation of the campaign and battle tact and the operation of weapon furnishment. In foreign simulation software, the main issue which is investigated is how to establish correct position relation between the ground feature and the terrain, as is same to this paper's main issue.The display of visual scape is provided by computer. The picture in the visual scape is based on the environment requirement, which is produced by utilizing the presented condition and model and computing the picture and graph data.
