The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) is a large cross-sea passage whichwill connect Hong Kong, Macau and Zhuhai across the Pearl estuary. When completed,this project will radically change the traffic condition of mainly water transport anddetour from the land transport between Pearl River West and Hong Kong, therebyimproving the investment environment of the western bank of the Pearl River Delta andproviding opportunities for Hong Kong to keep the sustained booms and development.Furthermore, as the strategically world-class cross-sea passage of our country, theproject will offer one only land transport linkage between Macau and Hong Kong,strengthen their connection, and facilitate the development of Macau.In this thesis, deeply research of the tri-dimensional dynamic simulation system ofthe Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) is conducted from the aspects ofstructure design, function realization and requirement analysis, including theinvestigation on the traffic simulation status and development home and abroad, thecritical influences, demands, functions, developing environment and the implementationof the simulation platform. Especially for the core subsystem of simulation, theprinciple and algorithm of each micro simulation module (including road model andvehicle model) are lucubrated.The research of this thesis makes it much easier to implement the tri-dimensionaldynamic simulation system of the HZMB, which provides basis for the trafficsimulation. Meanwhile, the visualization, surveillance and controllability of the HZMBtraffic are realized, and the tri-dimensional visualization evaluation on the emergencyresponse, exercise and plan of the HZMB is carried out in the developed platform, aswell as the evaluation of the designed scheme of plane and vertical combinations, thelayout scheme of traffic engineering and roadside facilities, and the traffic organizationscheme in critical areas, which plays a positive role in improving the traffic safety andachieving the goal of “common development, harmony construction” amongGuangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
