Design And Implementation Of SDH Transport Network Simulation Platform

The implement and maintenance of SDH transport network can improve the network's utilization, increase the system's reliability, and ensure the business's real-timing. But as the more complex of the transport network's architecture and the bigger of its scale, the analysis and management of the network fault is becoming more and more difficult. To the operation and maintenance person that increases the difficulties of the network management. And it put forward a very high demand to the network management capability.We need to do kinds of experiments to confirm various network breakdown phenomena in different networks and the influence which it brings to the service prior or after. Doing the experiments in real networks would bring some security risks, and the simulation technology is able to simulate the real network, so we need to set up related network simulation platforms, and analysis those network faults based on it. We can provide training and assessment for the operation and maintenance person based on the using of the simulation platforms.This paper analyzes the current construction and simulation technology of the SDH technique and the SDH transport network. It puts forward an implement proposal on the basis of summing up the main function of SDH transport network. And the proposal divided simulations into there levels such as network simulation, service simulation and fault simulation from the point of view of network management. The paper describes the function of the simulation platform of SDH transport network in detail. And at last, the paper further analyzes the system's shortcomings and deficiencies based on the situations during the actual operation. And it proposes the content of the following researches, which provides a method for perfecting the function of the simulation platform.
