Radar simulation system was developed as a computer software platform for radar system performance testing and evaluation,with the purpose of providing research design and validation before the outfield testing to save the cost and shorten the cycle of radar system development.Its main function is to simulate the dynamic working process like the generation of radar echo signal,signal transmission and processing under different working mode through the setup of the radar parameters.In this thesis,the research theories and methods of radar echo simulation,signal processing and visual simulation were studied based on the background of R&D project of developing multi-functional missile-borne radar system on the basis of HLA digital simulation system.And several sub modules of the radar system were implemented based on the study.The first sub module was the echo simulation module under the height measurement mode.Through the principle analysis of wide beam height-finding radar echo generation,the corresponding echo model was established and the echo simulation algorithm was implemented based on GPU parallel computing by CUDA.The simulation results validated the correctness of the algorithm and the simulation efficiency was improved compared with the algorithm based on CPU implementation.Then several kinds of height measurement algorithms were studied and implemented.Through the height measurement of simulated radar echo,results showed that the average height measurement algorithm was more applicable in the complicated terrain area.The second one is the clutter simulation module in the terminal guidance phase.According to the natural terrain digital elevation map,a multi-channel clutter simulation method was developed and implemented based on the missile-borne phased array radar by high performance GPU CUDA parallel algorithm.Simulation results showed that this method could accurately reflect the clutter characteristics of the natural complex terrain and the computation speed was greatly improved compared to the traditional clutter simulation method based on CPU implementation.The last module was implemented for three dimensional visual simulation.Using the standard trajectory of the simulated aerodynamics missile,the three dimensional dynamic process from missile launch to target attack was simulated based on the visual simulation technology.
