Application Research Of WebGIS On The Flood Control Information System

With the rapid development of internet technology, it is the inevitable trend that GIS and Internet combine to form WebGIS. WebGIS is already applied to many fields at present.In this paper, the flood control of information from Henan demand for the actual needs, according to the Henan Provincial Flood Control Information business process, combined with the characters of Flood Control Information System. The realization technology and data management policy are discussed from the aspect of basic technology and spatial data organization. This paper chooses the Mapinfo MapXtreme as map application server, B/S system of middleware technology as system structure, distributed data-base as date-base structure, spatial date-base technology of Mapinfo as data organization, DCOM/ActiveX technology as development technology to accomplish the software of project. Efficiently solved the problems of spatial information hugeness, response slowly of system, high developed the efficiency of spatial query and analysis. The paper includes the follows:1. The research progress of WebGIS at home and abroad is reviewed at first and the overall system design scheme based on WebGIS is presented after analyzing practical situation of Henan Province Flood Control Information System..2. The organization strategy of spatial database in the flood control information system based on the overall system design scheme is submitted in the paper.3. The flood control information system based on WebGIS is realized using Mapinfo, and the system is running.
