Although CAD technology adopted extensively in enterprises at present raises painting speed, it appears many problems such as low designing efficiency, inconvenient searching files, difficult sharing data, and so on, because of lacking efficient management of product information. So, how to manage the process of product design and product data, improve designing efficiency is an important thing to research. Product data management (PDM) is a technology of managing all of product information concerned and product process concerned. The dissertation focuses on the key technologies of product structure management in PDM, analyzes the architecture of PDM system, and achieves product structure management in PDM and design reuse oriented parts library management system.Analyzing the research status quo of PDM and parts library, and the function design and architecture of PDM system, the dissertation puts forward the product structure management function module based on C/S model, the document relevancy function module based on J2EE platform, and the parts library management system based on B/S model. It researches the key technologies of function design from the angle of software development and function implementation, and gives the system a total solution.According to the product structure management model in PDM, using text files as data source to describe the product structure information in enterprise, the dissertation uses the tree structure to represent product structure, and constructs product structure tree. The relationship of the metadata and physical file is established by data vault. The foreign key of database table is used to make logical link between product structure and document relevancy. The construction of product structure tree is divided into three steps, the first step is reading product information and put them into database automatically, the second step is constructing product structure tree automatically, the last step is constructing product structure tree manually. Then, tree nodes are related with documents concerned to make the documents query and operation convenient. The system supplies BOM interface to export product structure information in two file formats (Excel and Foxpro file), create BOM in four types (the whole BOM, the assembly parts BOM, the outsourcing parts BOM, and the collaborative parts BOM) to meet the demand of enterprise.The dissertation establishes one design reuse oriented parts library, achieves the function of choosing optimal design reuse part.
