Along with the rapid development and applications of computer network technology and visualization technology, network CAD technology collaborative design has become an important trend in manufacturing industry. Manufacturing Informatization has repeatedly emphasized the sharing of CAD parts library and the reusing of resource, designers are also eager to bring the superiority of resources and information via the Internet, browse the dynamic three-dimensional models, exchange design ideas, download the necessary mechanical parts, conduct product design and manufacturing to achieve collaborative design. Therefore, to build the network mechanical parts library is very important. This thesis aims at the current problems in using CAD parts library, solving problems of the manufacturing mechanical parts library network using and management, as well as three-dimensional model dynamic browsing and collaborative design. The main research contents and achievements are as follows:(1) Analyse the research and application status of Web parts library and three-dimensional model visualization technology, for and business needs, use B/S structure, make the system scheme, and then divide the function structure of the system.(2) Study the JSP / Servlet, SQL Server2000, JDBC, Tomcat and other technology, establish the web-based mechanical parts library, including parts of the classification, modeling, data source storing, data table seting, the structures of various relational operations class in database and so on.(3) The establishment of a network-based parts library management system is studied, through the network to manage the user, part library, messages and other related functions.(4)Use Java3D technology to realize three-dimensional scenes display, set the mouse collaborative interactive function, write Servlet, using Java Applet technology available online to achieve three-dimensional model of dynamic parameters browsing without the need of professional 3D modeling software, to achieve co-design.At last, a web-based mechanical parts library browser system is developed. The function structure and work flow is also given.
