The front tool of data warehouse, OLAP, is an advanced DSS tool, which is developing rapidly during the recent decades. With OLAP, users can make deep investigation of business data, find the business tendency and abnormality, get important details and make better understanding of rules of their business behaviors.With the increased requirement for data analysis in Enterprise, OLAP can't perfectly meet their requirement. For this situation, the OLAP research group of Shanghai Maritime University proposed a new OLAP model: Multi-Dimensional Online Data Analysis Model, which can connect to various kinds of Databases. More than that, MOLDA model can meet the custom of usage in China and can be extended with new analysis methods and Arithmetic. MOLDA has three parts: Business Space, Data Source and Analysis Library. The main achievement of this thesis include the following aspects:But because the Business Space part of MOLDA model is very complex. I decided to take this part out as a research task and combine the thoughts in Business Space of MOLDA model with a matured OLAP product--MS Analysis Services. I develop a OLAP system named Simplified Analysis. I simply take this job as the implementation research on Business Space of MOLDA model.The paper uses multidimensional analysis and support to decision-making as the case of Business Space research. The main parts are as follows:1. The design of DW framework. At first, We build the Business Space of Ministry of Communications case management system according to the case business, then We build the data cube after plotting the case subjects.2.
