Infrared thermal imager is an equipment which can incept the object's infrared radiation information and change it into an eye-able image. Thermal imaging technique gives the information of the object's superficial thermal radiation and its inner thermal dissipation. Therefore, we can get the thermal distributed image, it expands the scope of visual perception from visible spectrum to infrared radiation which is invisible. Consequently, it becomes a new kind of method for people to observe the objective world and expands the mankind's knowing limit.Nowadays, Infrared thermal imaging technique is being developed continuously, the research on Infrared temperature-measuring is being developed as well. In mid 90's, the America had reached great achievements in the manufacturing of uncooled Infrared temperature-measuring system, which promoted the utilization greatly in all fields. Currently, the development of the Infrared temperature-measuring system in our country is on the beginning stage. Therefore, the research on the system's output information processing technique is necessary and meaningful.In this paper, based on the researches on Infrared temperature-measuring technique, we developed software for the output information processing of the Infrared temperature-measuring system with an Object-Oriented method. Object-Oriented method is a new programming ideology and the most important core ideology in newly Software Engineering, it is different from structured design. The method directly established a model with the object existed in the objective world, without changing the object's original feature and can reflect the objective things well.Based on the comprehend of Infrared radiation principle and requirements of application, the software set three function modules: serial communicationand data collection module, image processing module and temperature display module.First, because the Infrared thermal imager doesn't have a strong data storage capability or has a directly display interface, we can't use it to process or analysis the infrared image data particularity, a PC is needed to implement the functions above, so that we can process and save the infrared image. The serial communication and data collection function set by the software implements the communication between PC and Infrared thermal imager, and saves the infrared image in PC.Second, the imaging of Infrared thermal imager is due to the temperature difference between the object and background .The infrared image is the reflection of the space distributing for the object and the background's infrared radiation, it reflect the difference of temperature and radiation. In a small scope area, there is a trend of heat balance for the natural object. Different things influence each other, so there is little difference between them, and also some attenuation and error are created during the transmission and photoelectric conversion. Infrared image has some characteristics, such as small dynamic range, low resolving power, big background yawp disturb and etc. In order to conquer the shortcoming, improve the quality of the infrared image and to obtain more useful information from it, the image processing module set some functions to process the image. The software uses med-filter and average filter to reduce the yawp; because our eyes are more hypersensitive with multicolor image than black-white image, we can't get abundant information from the infrared image, so we use the Pseudo-color enhancement arithmetic to get more information from it; Also, the function of dynamic histogram display is set to make us to observe the gray grade distributing more directly.Third, the image which the thermal image system displayed reflects the heat distributing of the object, we should use a demarcate method to get the absolute temperature of the object we observed. Based on the infrared temperature-measuring theory, we know that the gray value have somerelationship with the temperature it reflected, by demarcate experiment we can get the mathematical model relationship between the temperature of object and gray grade of image. When using the software, the mathematical model is transferred, we can get the temperature by input different emissivity. We set there kind of measuring method to observe the temperature: 1) Point temperature display. The software can display the coordinate, gray grade and corresponding temperature of the measured point. 2) The whole image's temperature display. The software can display the highest temperature, the lowest temperature and average temperature of the whole image. 3) Partly temperature display .The software can display the detail temperature information of any rectangle area we selected.In this paper, the function of each module and its implement processing are expatiated, the whole constitution and flow chart of the software are given. The software of output information processing for Infrared temperature-measuring system developed in this paper works well in Windows system. The man-machine interface is convenient and is easy for people to handle. The software implements the functions as follows: serial communication, data collection, Pseudo-color enhancement, med-filter process, point temperature display, whole image's temperature display and partly temperature display and etc. Now, the software together with the Infrared thermal imager in the laboratory makes the temperature-measuring working well.
