The Research And Design For University Modern Distance Education Quality Evaluation System

With the progress of distance education in China, more and more people pay attention to its quality. The National Education Department decides to evaluate all network-based colleges in proper time. Constructing distance education quality evaluation system by means of informationization, realizing evaluation on the net, is an important measure to assure distance education evaluation quality and improve evaluation efficiency.Based on the theories about distance education and education evaluation, using the idea of software engineering and the methods of investigation on spot, mathematical analysis and experimentation, the thesis pays emphases on the mode and method of evaluating the quality of distance education by means of informationization, and has developed the Modern Distance Education Quality Evaluation System which is based on B/S mode.Firstly, a research on comparing the distance education evaluation practice of home and abroad is involved so that we can benefit from their thought, experience and method about evaluation. Secondly, the paper has emphasized the process and flow for informationization evaluation, and then explained the informationization evaluation method for index system. Thirdly, the thesis has designed the evaluation system in detail from total frame, function module, operation flow, and data memory, assessment model, etc. Based on the requirement analysis and detailed design, using ASP.NET+SQL SERVER, the author has developed the evaluation system and emphasized the modules of network-based college self-evaluation and expert evaluation. In order to assure the impersonality and justness of the assessment result, the evaluation system uses two methods to synthesize the assessment result of experts, one is Weighted Average, the other is Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation.Finally, the paper summarizes the whole work and gives several suggestions for further research.
