The researching work of this dissertation is a part of the project of National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 60172004), which is for the ASIC design of motion image analysis system. The goal of the researching work of this paper is to build a platform to verify the motion video-vision algorithm and to provide certain reference for the overall overhead construction design of chip.On the basis of summarizing the experience and the fault of the predecessor's work, this paper completes the hardware design of the system, which adopts the digital signal processor TMS320C6711b of high performance and the FPGA with 600,000 gates as the core. This design ensures the real-time image-processing. For the real-time image-transmission, a kind of high-speed serial bus named IEEE1394 is used instead of the traditional PC interfaces with bottleneck problem in this paper. In the result of the features of the digital image-capturing, the image quality is related to many factors such as the change of light, the character and relative position of optical lens and the individual difference of image-sensor. So this paper proposed the idea of embedding all kinds of the image pretreatment algorithms into the hardware system to improve the image quality, which provided data source of high quality for the algorithm verification as well. Moreover, this paper makes a research into several kinds of pretreatment algorithms. The most important of these is the hardware realization of the automatic white balance adjustment and the transformation among the color spaces. The former makes the color of the color-image approach the real color of the screened objects. The latter is able to provide the direct data for the verification of the motion video-vision algorithm based on all kinds of color spaces.The platform combines the functions of image-capturing, image-pretreatment and image-transmission. And it is a high-performance digital image-capturing and image-processing system with the characteristic of flexibility, convenience and universal serviceability. It can be widely used to verify all kinds of the motion video-vision algorithm.
