The Research And Implement Of Project Management Information System

From the end of 90's up to now, with the development of computer and network technology at very fast speed, many scholars and managers do a lot of research that how to implement project integrated management, how to make good use of the technique of IT to implement project integrated management, that is to develop Project Management Information System (PMIS). Cunently, more and more organizations use PMIS to manage their projects. Because of Internet, managing many projects, which be placed in the different region, at the same time in an office becomes possible.First, the paper introduces the Project Manage and Management Information System (MIS). Then the concept, function of PMIS, and its normal development method are researched. Based on that, the Northwest Electric Power Design Institute's PMIS is analyzed, designed and implemented. Especially, many technologies of system's safety and WEB-database accessing are researched, compared, selected and implement. Finally, the paper puts forward some viewpoints and outlook for the problem existed in the system.
