Based on the analysis of information resources management in research university libraries, the article studies on the mechanism between the university libraries on the research universities. It focused on the changing status of research university libraries in research universities, the characteristics of the information resources management in research university libraries, and how the academic libraries act to promote the development of the research universities, with the development of higher education and the digital information age.With the samples of the Harvard University Library, the Stanford University Library, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Library in the United States, and the library of the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
