| An ARM-based multimedia system for mobile phone is designed and discussed in this paper. The mobile system realized the multimedia function such as playing back mp3, playing back and recording MJPG, capturing photo.This paper based on the author's practical development experiences, discusses the porting steps of multimedia coprocessor and problems in the porting process. Writing and debugging of low layer software is the most important part of the porting process, and the low layer software is the base of multimedia mobile system. The paper details the process of porting multimedia coprocessor. There is a simple description on hardware principle. The design and implement of the multimedia coprocessor are mainly described based on the driver of the devices controlled by multimedia coprocessor such as LCD, camera, etc. It is shown how to create a new interrupt task which arrests the interrupt from multimedia coprocessor and how to deal with it for multimedia coprocessor. The power management is also illustrated at last. |
