Based On The J2me Mobile Phone Multimedia Applications Solutions

With the improvement of communications, computers, micro-electronics and embedded systems, there appeared many new kinds of value-added mobile business. Nowadays, mobile telephone became our necessity and changed with the styles and varieties of mobile terminals enriched. Meanwhile, the customer's demands for the multimedia functions on the mobile telephone increased steadily. Most mobile telephone of the day support functions such as photograph, play music, surf the Internet and etc. The application of multimedia to the mobile phone has been proved to be the development tendency in the future market and an important value-added mobile telephone business.Although the main mobile telephone manufactures such as Nokia, Motolola, Sony-Ericsson, Samsung have being devoted much energies to the research on the multimedia applications for the mobile telephone, there hasn't been yet a good universal platform for the development of multimedia applications, which makes long period and low efficiency in the development. We have designed a multimedia application platform for the project named"bookman". It has been proved its usability and efficiency.In this dissertation, first we present the situation of the multimedia applied to mobile telephone and some important technologies concern the subject. Then the solution for the overall structure of the system platform was presented, where the three main module of the structure: the communication module, the server module and the client module were detailed. Of them the design and implement of the application software platform for client was emphasized, the GUI module, the audio player module, the storage module and the communication module were discussed thoroughly.At last, the deficiency of this subject and the future of the multimedia software technologies were described.
