Control System Of HDTV Based On 8620

The DTV era is coming. Analog TV will be substituted by DTV in next 5-10 years. Thousands of billions market stimulates the development of TV programming, broadcasting, TV Set designing and the domain of TV. Customer can gain more vivid video and more graceful audio with HDTV, so HDTV have been considered as an important product by the manufacturers and the R&D of HDTV have been a hotspot in embedded field.Embedded System is combined with the hardware closely, and different hardware demands different software system support. In the process of embedded develop, there are so many difficulty and we need pay more energy on it. In this paper, I will introduce a method to develop software on SIGMA 8620 HDTV develop board and uClinux OS according to my experience in HDTV project.The development of HDTV will be introduced firstly, then analyzed the uClinux OS in detail: what is the characteristic of uClinux, how to configure its'kernel and how to cross-compile the OS to transplant on the hardware. After the intro of SIGMA8620 hardware, I will provide a method to develop GUI with MiniGUI, which is popular LGPL software in embedded GUI develop. The third part of this paper, I analyzed the MPEG-2 Transmit Stream and its'PSI table. Also the DVB SI table is necessary in our project. All of these work can help we finish the searching program and parsing the information in software of player and EPG. In the end, I will introduce the debug method in system development concisely.
