With the population of Digital TV, high definition television receiver will have excellent prospect in the future. Lots of researches focus on the software system of high definition television receiver. HDTV SoC platform is a system used for high definition television decoding, which is an important part of high definition television receiver. The building of the software system of HDTV SoC platform needs to be researched. The main contribution of this thesis is the research and design of the software system and implementation of the key modules based on HDTV SoC hardware platform. This thesis presented a reasonable software architecture solution, analyzed and summed the Linux kernel porting and MiniGUI porting. In addition, it highlighted the design and implementation of the system control module, and provided a mean of dealing with audio and video synchronization.This thesis firstly introduced the typical architecture of the high definition television decoding platform, and analyzed the characteristics of common software components. It presented a software scheme on the basis of the hardware characteristics and functional demand, researched and analyzed Linux kernel porting on MIPS architecture.Then, this thesis discussed the advantage of applying MiniGUI on HDTV SoC platform and summed the characteristics of the graphic display device and input device. This thesis designed the framebuffer driver on the basis of MiniGUI architecture and OSD hardware and ported MiniGUI to HDTV SoC platform.Finally, this thesis designed the system control module on the basis of functional demand and proposed an efficiency method which saved...
