Deliberation And Interpretation On The Communication Of Blog

As a newly-rising method that occurs to the publication of online information, Blog has been put to its good use in a few significant international issues and evoke the worldwide attention. Since the Mu Zi Mei event in 2003, the number of Blog community has excessively gone up. This phenomenon and its influence become a hot topic among the academy, internet and media. So what features does it have in communication? What relationship with traditional media does it bear? What is its social connotation? And from which aspects do we should apprehend it?In this paper, the history of Blog, its stages on the development, its application in China and its interpretation, characteristics and categorization will be first briefly reviewed. The account of these basic issues constructs the profile for Blog's development and actual condition.In the third chapter, this paper mainly describes and analyzes the elements, features and modes of Blog in a perspective of communication. The senders and receivers belong to the same Blog community in which, based on self concern and common mentality, this method to publish messages is adopted. Because of the absence of "gatekeeping", individuals can freely publish their messages on Blog. Interaction offers an interactive communication between senders and audience. Free communication and anonymity of Blog lead to self expansion which sequentially results in ethic problems. The last section of this chapter analyse the social meaning of Blog., that is, Blog has an important effect on the construction of ideal public sphere.The forth chapter involves three points: the first is about the differences between Blog and other internet communication forms, the second is about the advantages and disadvantages of reporting Blog and the last is dealing with the relations between Blog and traditional media and commercial websites.
