Public Sphere Construction In The Interaction Of Blog And Media

According to the public sphere theory of Habermas, some positive investigations on blog from a civil research community, and lots of theoretical researches on blog and public sphere, the author demonstrates that blog, as a kind of intercommunication mode on internet, is playing a constructive role on public sphere in cyberspace, and discusses some viable approaches to the construction of a healthy blogosphere, in the interaction of blog and traditional media.It has been found that, as a new kind of communication mode to express one's opinions and discuss some questions with others equally, blog satisfies 4 main requirements that public sphere needs on main body, intercourse, publicity, and public opinion. These elements are main characteristic that one kind of social sphere needs for becoming Habermas's public sphere. So blog possesses the potential to be public sphere. At the same time, the author considers that the whole opinion environment, including cyberspace and traditional media, is vital to the construction of public sphere in blogosphere. And this construction is formed in the interaction of the two opinion fields of cyberspace and reality. And finally, as for how to build a healthy blogosphere, the author gives some pieces of advice on the basis of civil society thought and public journalism ideas.
