UserInterface Design And Test

The user interface is a media between users and computers. Through the interface the users can exchange information with computers, and it is a very important part in a computer system. The design of a user interface occupies a large portion both in the overall system design and in the software design. The quality of the user interface designed directly affects the performance of an application system in that whether it can provide the users with highly accurate and safe data transfer, and with effective, relaxed, and happy work. Almost all of the information about a product is obtained through the user interface for most users. Therefore, a design with a good internal design but a bad user interface is after all not a good program. This article introduced some basic principles and essential factors about UI design following the rule that we take the users as the central importance in UI design. And we also listed some important points about UI test methods and what attention should be paid particularly in testing.Take a practical project of "Website about American cards Competition " as an example, I explained some differences between domestic and overseas projects in UI design. Some affirmation and praise from our customers when we did some projects were listed in the article. And in the listed, there were also some problems and points, which may easily be ignored when we do UI design. In of part UI test, I described all the aspects in the article. Since the project is not very big and a cost consideration, we performed our UI test with other test items (projects?), and did not do the UI test alone. However, it doesn't necessarily mean that all projects do not need an independent UI test. As a matter of fact, the most proper test method should be chosen specifically depending on a real situation. This article is expected to be helpful for someone trying to do software project design and test overseas.The history of computer user interface development is not so long, but it develops very quickly, and its influence on our daily life, social and economic aspects is remarkable. It is believed that the further development of computer user interface will give much help for various disciplines of science in the future.
