Research On Design Methods Of GUI Based On The Ergonomics

User Interface plays an important role in the application system. Whether it is good or not will influent the exertion of the application system, and it can also make users use applications exactly, efficiently, breezily and enjoyably. As the development of software in our country, more and more people have pay attention to this field. It is becoming hotter and hotter. The GUI design is not only focus in the designing graphics as before, but it also need to integrate ergonomics, cognitive psychology and other subjects into a new research direction. Its objection is to improving design and optimizing information of interface, so that it can meet user's requirements with maximum humanity.The objection of this thesis is to apply ergonomics in the GUI design. Firstly, we expound present theories, methods and features of GUI design. With the insufficiency of ergonomics in modern GUI design, this thesis starts from the perspective of ergonomics. It analyses ergonomics factors of GUI mainly from the aspects of visual features, auditory features, tactile features and psychological features. It also analyses the ergonomics factors hardly in GUI design from the points of interface space and color features. With the theories of cognitive psychology, it discusses the features of cognitive in the icon design. Secondly, from the point of user centered, it puts forward ergonomics factors of GUI design. And then it describes the features of ergonomics factors in GUI design and some problems we should pay attention to. After that it brings out some principles in the GUI design such as consistency, simplicity and availability. It also concludes emotionalizing interactive, modularization interactive, interactive response to the user's behaviors, audiovisual interactive, pen-based user interface as the features of GUI design. At the end part of this thesis, it applies all the conclusions which have been derived ahead to the practical project which the author has took part in. The project implements the ergonomics in the GUI design successfully, it was improved much. It has been released new version to the market. What the successful of the software that has been released proves the value of the research work in this thesis.This thesis incorporate the technologies of computer, With the exploration between GUI design and ergonomics, it really wants to provide a new mode of GUI design which combines the theory and process of design.
