The user interface of software is the important element of human-computer system, and it is the medium and tool of human-computer interaction. With the greatly advancing digital technology and information age, user interface should be more natural and effective, more easily studying and using, more humanity, and better to fill the user's spirit demand. The method of user-center substitutes for traditional technology-center in software design, because traditional way always makes that software with good function is difficult to use. In conclusion, the idea of user-center has become the core and based guideline for user interface of software.Pointing to this, the thesis uses these theories of ergonomics, cognitive psychology, design art and design methodology to research how to carry out the idea of user-center for designing software's user interface. Main points include:(1) Because user is part of humankind, they have some characters which human being possess. When operating the interface, user certainly show these characters and are restricted by them. For this, the thesis explores three main aspects.Human's Physiological Function and Interface Designing. It presents the function, parameter and feature of vision, hearing and touch. Moreover, it introduces some principles, methods and strategies which are based these parameter and feature for designing interface.Human's Cognitive Psychology and Interface Designing. It presents the structure and model of human's information processing system. After introducing the sense, consciousness, memory, thinking and attention, it makes us know how to help user apperceive, optimize memory structure, ease study task, allocate the attention, avoid and solve error, etc. After introducing the function of user's mental model, it puts forward that metaphor is an effective tool to help user apperceive, and sets forth the approach, advantages and disadvantages of metaphor.Human's Spiritual Demand and Interface Designing. It presents that total experience design is a good tool to make interface satisfy user's high-grade spiritual demand. Moreover, it explores three main approach of user experience design. The first is sensory experience which user has a good sensory feeling to the visual and hearable elements of the interface. The second is emotional experience which includes safety, freedom, achievement, etc. The last is cultural experience which includes ideology, value judgment, life style, thinking, custom, etc.(2) Because user is the man who makes use of the specific interface, each interface has corresponding "man" who is user and "thing" which the user wants to do with the interface. Pointing to this, the thesis presents designing method and flow which ensure that user-center can be applied to the development of soft interface. They are as following. Firstly, investigating user and user taking part in the development are introduced. Secondly, how to make up of the design team is explored. The third, target-oriented and method model of persona-target-task are put forward. Using tools as persona, target-oriented, scenario building by scene and story, we can specify the "task" which user wants to do and make sure interface's function, task and dialogue. Lastly, the design flow of user-center interface is brought forward. In conclusion, how to improve the usability and user experience of interface are explored, and designing method and flow which ensure that user-center can be applied to the development of soft interface are presented. That is to say, from general way to special way, the thesis makes us know how to develop a natural, effective, joyful and comfortable interface of software and answers the fundamental question how to apply user-center to the development of software' interface.
