As a customization computer system that integrate with hardware,real-time operating system and application software, embedded system becomes more widely used in the area of social afairs and people's living .The rapid development of information technology and the wide application of embedded system have brought the profound change to people's life, It has a bright future that the embedded system accesses to Internet. The main purpose of this thesis is to carry on research to the embedded systems, and find the way to help those systems access to Internet.This paper provides a solution for embedded systems to access Internet based on ARM, by porting an embedded real-time operating system to 32-bit microprocessor and simplifying the TCP/IP protocol to help the embedded system access to Internet.The 32-bit ARM embedded microprocessor, LPC2104, is selected as the core of hardware experiment circuit board, and the designing of hardware circuit is given. On the other hand, the characteristic of the embedded real-time system kernel ofμC/OS-Ⅱand transplantation method is profoundly analyzed and implemented, and the detailed design and implementation of a simplified TCP/IP protocol stack is given. An application of embedded Internet, embedded Web server, is also designed in this article. The Webserver use HTTP protocol and CGI technology to inter-active with browser of clients, so that it can monitor and control the embedded device remotely. Moreover, the security of the embedded Web server is studied and improved, finally, the feasibility of the whole set of the system is testified by means of the experiment.The research indicates that it's feasible to combine 32-bit microprocessor and free embedded real-time operating system to connect embedded system to Internet, and the design of this article is low-cost and high-efficiency. It provides a kind of new solution to popularize those applications as information household appliances, industry remote controls and data collection, etc.
