Rotary kiln is the key equipment in the production of metallurgy, cement and material of fire-fast. It is statically indeterminate system with over load , large torque and multi-supporting. Ensuring rotary kiln operate safely and efficiently is the key way for corresponding enterprise to increase economic benefit .The operating axes of rotary kiln are the prominent factor of influencing the machine operating state. People are required to know and analyzed the operating axes of rotary kiln in time in practice, In order to adjust and maintenance it in reason. so the microcomputer real-time monitoring system of large-scale rotary kiln is needed to developed.At first, Based on analyzing and comparing the status of the monitoring system of rotary kiln, the paper brings forward a new method of monitoring the operating axes of rotary kiln; Second, In the designing of hardware configuration ,It demonstrate the function of sensor, the communication mode of COM , the capability and usage of the HXSP-2108B and HEXIN-III ,etc. Third, It introduces the function and the process of software of monitoring system. The process of finishing designing software with LabVIEW is analyzed. as a new development direction of measuring technology and a new kind of graphical language, the LabVIEW provides a Virtual Instrument's flat estrade , the system with LabVIEW can monitor the dynamic change of the operating axes ,it can be applied in the cement production.The operation demonstrates that the new monitoring method of the monitoring system can acquire the operating axis of large-scale rotary kiln by rule and line on the operation position, and it is a break-through in real-time monitoring method. It is facility to install, reliable to operator, and precise to monitor ,The monitoring system software has lots of functions.
