Nowadays, it is certain that the new generation train will follow the trend of high-speed and automation. As the combination of train control, failure monitor and process of passenger service information, TCN(Train Communication Network) is the key technology in the control system of high-speed electrical train. So there is no doubt that the devices conforming to the international standard of TCN will have very promising future.In June, 1999, IEEE Committee approved IEC61375-1 as the TCN standard. The communication network of train is composed of Wire Train Bus(WTB) and Multi-function Vehicle Bus(MVB). To solve the deficiency of communication, UIC approved UIC556 standard. Research in UIC gateway has been the most important item in TCN development.Based on the TCN, this project designs the frame of the UIC556 gateway software, and implements the inauguration of UIC gateway, then tests the result of the UIC inaugurationFirstly, this disquisition has made the brief introduction to the background of the TCN technology as well as the domestic and foreign development, and has elaborated the research content of the topic.Secondly, after the analyse of the TCN and the description of the TCN inauguration, this text devises the main frame of the UIC556 gateway software.Thirdly, according to the UIC556 standard, this thesis elucidates the theory of the UIC inauguration, and introduces the three modules of the UIC inauguration: the data structure, the inauguration function and the inauguration task. Then the inauguration function is designed as five child modules: the determination of the leading vehicle, the assignment of the UIC address, the determination of node reference direction, the determination of NADI state and the integration of nodes.Finally, this paper gives the blue print of each module of the UIC inauguration, and realizes them in Nucleus Plus by C language, then gets a content testing result.This research is based on the project of the UIC556 gateway software, which is accomplished by Dalian University of Technology and China Northern Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry(group) Corporation, and to realize the Chinese independent UIC556 gateway technology, it will have favorable foreground and worthiness.
