Apply the integration technology of Global Positioning System (GPS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) to wetland study accurately and efficiently is an important part of wetland management. It can improve the ability of wetland resource information analysis also. GPS data process is the core of GPS and GIS integration. Because of the seamy exploration environment, GPS data can not realize the real time process all, GPS data offline process is important on wetland study. The traditional data-focused integration method is very complicated, it must make use of people and the method can not satisfy wetland study. In view of these problems, this paper proposes technology-focused integration method, and the study is undertaken on Zhalong Wetland. First of all, the paper discusses the communication between GPS and computer, takes Garmin GPS for example, bases on parsing GPS protocol, imitates software function and realizes GPS data procession, it solves the difficulty that picking the data must be throughout professional software, it makes the foundation of GPS data automatic process. Next proposes the solution to the question of GPS data acquisition and the processing, seals offline post-processing each technology and realizes offline data automatic process. Finally uses the Kalman filtering method to reduce noise influence, increases the GPS pointing accuracy. Based on GPS data automatic process, it develops the model which integrates GPS control function with GIS data process function on the same kind of platform, The integration method can get GPS data without considering the course of the procession. It can withdraw GPS data and demonstrated on the electronic map automatically. It avoids the shortcoming of the data-focused integration method which GPS and GIS are two independent, can not carry on the correspondence mutually. This paper applies the model to web, form the subsystem of GPS tracking and analyzing. Using this system to be able to demonstrate the information around the point, it provides the information support for the remote sensing interpretation. This system can realize GPS data automatic process, it can replay the trace of GPS and renewal database in time. The research indicated that technology-focused integration method can satisfy the research and offering technology support to wetland protect and management.
