Fishing Net Monitorsystem Based On Distributed Wireless Sensor Network

A fishing nets positioning and monitoring alarm system based on GPS technology, GIS technology and computer management technology is proposed to achieve the real-time dynamic positioning, monitoring for fishing boats, fishing nets on all-weather, large-scale, multi-ship and multi- nets. Besides, it also improved fishing boats and fishing nets’ location management, which could enhance response cap ability to emergencies, improve operational efficiency of fishing vessels and navigational safety.As to the issues of a wide range long-term distribution and the marine situation is complex in pelagic long-term fishing process, through drawing on the principles of Wireless Mesh Networks and using the communications strategies of time division multiple access and storage forwarding, the wide range telecommunication problem of the fishing boats and fishing nets under complex marine fishing situations were so lved perfect. The status of long-term can be informed through the use of multiple wireless sensors distributed in the long-term, and according to the reasonable configuration of the alarm threshold, the rate of long-term wound, loss and other problems has been reduced.The main research results include three points as following:1.Full study of working principle and design methods of free band communication systems, such as a data module nRF905. Combined with GIS, MIS, database management systems and computer technology, the functions include remote real-time monitoring, automatic alarming, checking and recording for fishing nets in a certain range are realized, which provide an intuitive, efficient and accurate means of modern technology for fishermen with the aim to implement safety monitoring of fisheries production and scheduling management.2.The shipboard navigation terminal software was developed independently, which can display fishing vessels position, course and other information in real time. In addition, it also can display net position and moving direction, and make fence management. By receiving GPS position signals automatically, the software can detect the state of the fishing nets and the fishing boats, and transmit the location information and status data to the vessel monitoring software for analysis. Moreover, the software will forecast and warn the position drift of the fishing boats and nets caused by the ocean currents, surges and so on.3.The communication channels between the terminals were reserved to share the position information of boats. Fishing nets positioning monitoring alarm system, based on GPS, GIS, is simple to construct without application-specific frequency and building any base station. The positioning and monitoring syste m can monitor fishnet buoys installed information collection unit. The realization of communication is as convenience as buying and using a cell phone.
