With the rapid progress of electronic science, multimedia and computer technology, data acquisition of CCD , achieve great a advance. As an important branch of an image acquisition system, the linear image acquisition system holds its significance and is widely used in areas such as industrial production, aerospace and military reconnaissance.Nowadays, most CCD image acquisition systems are based on separated component solution.This leads to high system complexity, longer R&D period and higher cost. In addition, the low stability and high signal interference make it very hard to reach the expectation for high precision images.For the reasons above, this program was born. It is based on single-chip solution, linear CCD iamge sensor, and USB interface, in order to solve the problems mentioned above and achieve a high precision image acquisition system.This system supports pixel counts up to 10550x3 colors. The powerful LM9833 is used as the core. It is composed of CCD control block, two illumination modes controller, analog front end, digital signal processing unit, micro-stepper motor controller, USB interface controller, etc. These enable the image sampling from CCD and make digital image information acceptable by computer via the usb interface..An in-depth analysis was taken for system components and operation principles. PCB and complete schematics were offered with the help of Protel DXP according to system requirements.
