The topic of this thesis is based on the Highdig work station for digitized image of medical film designed by the Medical Scanner Production of the Highdig Co.Ltd. With the development of digital imaging technology, computers and network technology, PACS has developed rapidly in recent years. This project just focuses on the future of this market. According my distribute task in the system, there are two important parts introduced in this thesis: medical films image acquisition and case history management. In the first part of this paper, the TWAIN standard is described in detail firstly, then an implementation of image acquisition is presented, and a comparison of different data transfer modes is made. In the second part, the ADO technique that is used for the case history management of PACS is introduced first, then the material design of the database of this system is given, at last a description of the design principle of correlative classes is introduced, and a material implementation example of it is given.By testing, the system discussed in this paper satisfied the system requirement analysis in advance. The system is characterized by rational structure, good user interface. It can bring us remarkable social and economic benefits, and would provide reference and practice value for similar system.
