Nowadays large scale beef producing enterprises manage their information confusedly and some useful information was wasted, it's difficult to trace beef safety and quality. Beef safety and quality control and tracing pattern was conceived and designed, which includes cattle breeding, breeding management, cattle migration, disease prevention and cure, drug using, slaughtering and analyses, package and storage, and sell in supermarkets, based on the advanced ideals of traceability system home and aboard. And this system can help us trace beef safety information in the whole beef chain.using Visual Basic6.0 Object-Oriented programming technology and SQL(Structure Query Language)Server 2000 databases technology and animal identification methods, such as the ear tag, division meat numbers and corresponding EAN/UCC codes technology.The work team of this system includes 5 functional modules: Information query, Information collection, Systemic settings, Help and Quit. Information query module can meet interprise or beef consumers to trace beef quality, breeding information and assures the system safety. Help module illuminates the systemic design, applied ranges, executed criterions, and helps users use the system well. And Quitting module offers a shortcut of exitting.The basal establishment of this system is database. In order to expediently manage data, of the same characteristic data were classified to the same database. 3 kinds of databases were designed according to the entire process of the safe beef production, which includes cattle breeding, slaughtering and processing, selling in the supermarkets.
