Middling Printery Management Information system (MPMIS) is one of mostly application scopes. If an enterprise or a manufactory have a comprehensive information system, it affects on the manufacture and management of the enterprise. It can advance managing level of the enterprise, get rid of manual management pattern, and realize scientific modem management and marketable competition. This thesis mainly discusses the analysis and the design of MPMIS. On this condition, this paper detailedly produces a work flow model of MPMIS and a analysis and design of MPMIS based on the object-oriented analyse. The author first in brief summarizes the current situation and applied level, and produces the origin, feasibility, research contents and objects of this dissertation. Then the author briefly introduces the workflow and object-oriented technology. We can see the effect of the workflow and object-oriented in designing MIS. And we can figure out easily a lot of problem of operation process using workflow technology. In this process, we can harmonize members by procee rule using documents, information and task. At the same time, if we set up the requirements model of a system using OOA, we can know the whole-part connection, common-uncommon connection, example connection of the database. This thesis also discusses how to set up a workflow model of MPMIS system. Based on the workflow participant, workflow process, workflow process activity, workflow relevant data, the author give the workflow model of the system. Among various object-oriented analyses, the author chooses the five-hierarchy analysis put forward by Coad and Yourdon to set up the requirements model of a system. This model mainly serves for the design of the databases of the system. It has been proved that the five-hierarchy analysis enables the user, system analyst and programmer to know about the framework and details of this system. With the support of the model, one can accomplish the design of the database. This thesis last produces four safety design of the MIPMIS. The safety design is advantaged in the database design.
