Currently, the development model of livestock farming is facing intensive, large-scale direction, which puts forward higher requirements for management of cattle breeding. However, the management philosophy of cattle breeding industry are mostly still in use with the traditional management methods in our country, the collecting, sorting and other operations for breeding information are mainly in the state of manual processing. Obviously, this approach is inconsistent with the current pace of development of the information society, which cannot fully meet the practical needs of large-scale farming. Through introducing information technology, this paper built a cattle breeding management information system based on some fieldwork and analysis of large-scale farming, to some extent, which improves the management efficiency of cattle breeding farms.The design mode of this system adapts C/S (development) mode based on.NET technology and database programming techniques, and regards mainstream relational database MS SQL Server 2008 as application database server, using the SqlConnection object, SqlCommand object, SqlDataAdapter object and the DataSet object implemented the connection to the database interfaces. The data binding lists’ implementation of the main interface data mainly adapts Winform Control DataGridView. The operation interface is simple, with flexible data reporting and EXCEL spreadsheet export functions, managers can get more comprehensive data services through several operations.The system realizes many functions, such as Cattle Management, Cowshed Management, Medicine Management, Disease Prevention, Feed Management and other functional modules, which provides standardized conditions for cattle breeding information management. Statistical analysis of data can be collected comprehensive analysis and objective data to provide direct support for beef cattle farm production decisions. Reference statistics worked out in line with market rules and the field itself for beef cattle development needs long-term planning can improve the market competitiveness of beef cattle farm to some extent, and achieve ultimately maximize economic benefits.The application of management informatization technologies in livestock breeding industry has become an inevitable trend of future breeding, supporting the development of animal husbandry information is always an important policy in our country. However, the application of management of information technology in animal husbandry has not been universal, which will greatly limit the rapid development of our whole animal husbandry. Our livestock industry in the application of information technology, particularly in the field of management information system, applications research started relatively late, especially for large-scale cattle breeding experience using less information management. In order to improve cattle breeding competitive advantage in the livestock industry to establish a more perfect beef information management system, both research work and the grass breeding work have an important significance.
