Along with the popularization of the computer technologies,e-government and Office Automation have been one of the focuses of government's work.Information management systems are the most widely used e-government systems.There are only simple functions which are recording and searching by key words in these systems.These systems usually use the complex program to deal with the data relations.There are several disadvantages.First,the result searched by key words are not all-around.The searching by key words can't get the results of the content amplified on those keywords.Second,when the applications deal with the semantics of the data,the process only can be carried out by programs.If we add new concepts of the data,we have to modigy our codes.Another problem is the representation of the concepts used in different departmentsof the government are not always the same,especially the name of these concepts.Semantic Web is the combination of the artificial intelligence and the Web technology.it can make machines apprehend the meanings of data.The main method of achieving that purpose is modeling the formal semantics of the resources,and to represent it in XML syntax.With the using of semantic web in e-government,we could do our searching and concluding by using semantic data;and we could use the vocabulary to connect the systems in different systems.The main contribution of this article is to analysis the characteristic of the nowadays e-government systems and to find applications of semantic web in these systems.We convert the present data models into sematic data,and Finally,we design a ontology of HaiDian business administration case management system and a prototype system in order to propose a...
