| Bluetooth is a technology developed for short-range wireless communication by Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The purpose of Bluetooth technology is to replace cables and connect various devices such as cell phone, PC, handhelds, notebook computers, headsets and PDA together through electromagnetic wave. Bluetooth uses a globally available frequency band (2.4GHz ISM), and adopts a globally uniform open criterion for worldwide compatibility.In an era of latter-PC, the application of embedded devices might exceed PC in marketable capability. At the same time, Bluetooth will become the standard scheme of the embedded devices and it will get widely application.In exploitation of Bluetooth application system, the key tool is Bluetooth development kit. The Bluetooth development kit which is implemented by us will provide convenience for Bluetooth application developer. It will help the developer to grasp Bluetooth technology and Bluetooth environment.This thesis firstly introduces Bluetooth domestic and international research status. Then, it expounds the technology theories which are involved in the Bluetooth development kit, including characteristics of Bluetooth technology, hardware technology, protocol composing, profiles and the theory of embedded development. And then analyzes hardware platforms and software platforms and expatiates implementation of the development kit, realization of Bluetooth system and realization of LAN Access profile on embedded Linux. In addition, this thesis also point out current shortcoming of Bluetooth technology as well as further application prospect. |
