In the automotive radar collision avoidance system, the distance between car and roadblock will be surveyed. If the actual distance is less than the safe distance which is preestablished, the system will generate an alarm signal. The purpose of this design is to protect the driver by the way of transmitting the alarm signal to the driver's mobile phone by Bluetooth.The hardware structure of the Bluetooth module includes Bluetooth baseband controller, wireless transceiver, microprocessor. Flash program memory and SRAM, voice encoder/decoder, Bluetooth test module, UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter), USB (Universal Serial Bus) and so on. The Bluetooth protocol stack comprises HCI (Host Controller Interface), L2CAP (Logical Link Control and Adaptation Protocol), SDP (Service Discovery Protocol), RFCOMM (Radio Frequency Communications) and so forth.The J2ME environment is built in order to develop Bluetooth of mobile phone. In Windows XP operating system, it is in proper sequence that JDK (Java Development Kit), bluevove.jar (Java Bluetooth Development Kit), WTNCOMM (Bluetooth driver), WTK (Wireless Development Kit), Eclipse (Java extension Development platform) and EclipseME (J2ME application development plug-in) will be installed.Based on Java Bluetooth API, the software project can be designed to achieve the data communication between PC and the mobile phone. Serval separated modules are applied to the program on both PC and the mobile phone. The application of mobile phone (MIDlet) is installed on mobile phone (The type of mobile phone for this design is Nokia 6300). If the MIDlet is installed successfully, applications on PC and mobile phone will run at the same time. Finally, the application will be debugged and tested whether data communication is successful between PC and the mobile phone.
