| Geographic Information System (GIS) is widely used in military development. It accelerates the progress of military automatization, and supplies abundant, accurate and real-time information for the military researches and decision-makings. It has become an important aspect in the military development. Comparing with its being used on lands, the setup and development of marine GIS is more difficult and urgent.This paper discusses the key techniques of marine GIS at domestic and international current situations. According to the established Integrated Sea Watching Information System, some key technologies for the System are discussed in detail.It points out the main aspects of the solution and makes lots of improvements.
