The National Key Field Observation Stations (NKFOS) are important scientific facilities for the field observation and researches, the important issue of R&D Infrastructure and Facility Development Program, and also the important component of State Scientific and Technological Innovation System. In a long time, the NKFOS have accumulated abundant precious observation and research data, which are not well utilized because there are not unified data criterion and the information sharing system. This situation continues to embarrass the development of the field observation research and weaken the role of the NKFOS seriously. This thesis had an investigation on the NKFOS at first. Then following the general development plan of the NKFOS, aiming at the characteristics of multi-department, multi-discipline and multi-district of the NKFOS and the status that the data storage and the network are heterogeneous, this thesis focused on the research of the distributed information sharing technologies on the Internet, a unified data criterion were established and a distributed information sharing system framework was designed. The system framework has an unified data integration, distribution and query subsystem as a core, which uses the Web Service technology to build a middle layer to integrate the heterogeneous data from the various distributed field observation stations databases. At last, a system prototype was developed.
