Web Services-Based Heterogeneous Data Sources Sharing

With the development of the technology of supplying information service on Internet, it is increasingly becoming one of the hot focuses that how to share data between all kinds of data sources and how to improve QoS of information on Internet with scarce resources through network. The main task of sharing heterogeneous data sources is to manage data of various types and formats from all kinds of data sources uniformly and to supply users with uniform and transparent interface in order to gain the aim of information sharing.Web services is a rising technology with platform-independent, language-independent, simple, effective, scalable features, applicable to system integration and data sharing.Using Web Services technology, this paper proposes and designs a heterogeneous data sources sharing system, based on the analysis on the shortcomings of the existent heterogeneous integration system. This paper discusses the principles of heterogeneous data sources sharing plan based on Web Services, analyses the structure and main function, and resolves three key technological problems-the design and implementation of adapter, service register center and requirement decomposer, furthermore, it implements a prototype system. The system provides the function of publishing the sources' services flexibly and dynamically, hence making it possible to construct Heterogeneous Integration System immediately.The research and implementation works in the paper are a new research subject on heterogeneous data sources sharing system. They shed lights on some new thoughts and plans. The design can improve the quality of intelligent query of heterogeneous data sources sharing system, and supply technology for other query service and intelligent search.
