Design And Reality Of Heterogeneous Databse Data-sharing System Based On XML

For a long time, there are large quantities of heterogeneous database in the network. Their isomerism shows in many aspects such as different database type, different data representations, different DBMS for supporting database. With the development of business cooperation and the electronic governmental affairs, many information systems need to access the data in the heterogeneous database. Therefore, a new system framework is needed to integrate the information in multiple heterogeneous databases. The advantages of the XML 's independence with platform,easy extension ,good interaction ,strong semantics and may format enable it to become a standard of web data expression and exchanging.Heterogeneous database integrate is one of a methods of realizing heterogeneous database sharing, its goal is setting up a unified interface of accessing heterogeneous database. Users only need to assign data which they want to acquire, instead of understanding their details of the difference of data model, the methods of data extraction and synthesis, and describing how to acquire these data. By access the sharing platform's data, users can realize to access all heterogeneous database.Basing on the practical application project, the paper analyzed the possibility of setting up the sharing platform of heterogeneous database, studied data mapping algorithm and model basing on XML, and compared with the traditional integrated technology of heterogeneous database .Consequently, according to the development tendency of web database, the paper statement the plan of setting up heterogeneous database sharing platform basing on B/S three layer skeleton of XML. At last, you can integrate and select heterogeneous data pool on the unification XML view conveniently. Because of the superiority of XML data model, the system has good extendibility.
