The performance of control system will degenerate with elapsed time to a control loop if there is no periodic maintenance. The bad control performance reduces the validity of control system, and probably reduces production efficiency and adds unqualified products and increases the cost. So the concerned problem of field craft and engineers is how to assess the control system performance through acquiring data from production process and implement remote monitoring with Internet technology. Therefore, engineers can judge from the operation of devices precisely, and solve the problems of control system effectively like the field.Based on component technology and OPC technology, the thesis assesses the performance of control loop and tunes the controller parameters through acquiring the process data from practical control system. At the same time, remote monitoring of control system brings out through OPC technology and Internet technology. The main results as follows:1) Combined with a robustness index of SISO control system, a robustness assessment method is presented based on relay feedback, which is able to conduct in-depth analyses in frequency domain according to the Nyquist curve. Simulation results have shown the effectiveness and feasibility of this method.2) A tuning method is expounded based on IMC with PID controller parameters. It has a better close-loop control effects than general Z-N tuning method through simulation comparison.3) Based on OPC technology, this thesis presents the design projects of the C/S mode and B/S mode remote monitoring system in Internet environment, and especially discusses the main techniques of the implementation of B/S mode remote monitoring system, and compares with the two projects.4) Present OPC client application total frame of performance assessment and tuning of control system, and introduce the main function modules in detail, and then implement the function module of OPC data acquiring application in Visual Basic.5) At last, the main contributions of thesis are summarized, along with directions for future work.
