Research On Transactions In Information Grid

Information Grid is a system using Grid technologies to achieve the sharing,managing of information resources and to provide information services. This dissertation is based on the research work of the Vega Information Grid project, and addresses the transaction mechanism of the information grid.The principles of the Vega Information Grid is Versatile Service, Enable Intelligence, Global Uniformity and Autonomous Control. Based on the principles and main requirement features of the Vega Information Grid, This dissertation addresses the essential issues of transactions in the information grid . This dissertation defines an atomic transaction protocol and implements it in our project.This dissertation first introduces concepts of grid technology and related background, and then introduces architecture of Vega information grid.It also introduces research content and architecture of ICTGrid in chapter two.Transacions in information grid is the central issues of this research.based on SOA architecture,Vega enterprise information grid use Web Services technology to access heterogeneous information resources(databases,file systems).It need transactions support to keep data consistency.This dissertation analyze the shortage of traditional ACID transactions and analyze the traits of transactions in information grid.Define an atomic transaction protocol ,and then implement it in our research project.Analyze its performance and introduce research plan in next phase.
